Product Description
FOX PURMAX® SPRAYTEC FS562 is a polyurethane-based, two-component (A: Polyurethane Resin / B: Polyurethane Hardener), solvent-free, fast-curing waterproofing membrane with crack-bridging capability that does not lose its flexibility over time. Thanks to its unique chemical structure, it can be applied in almost all climatic conditions and provides seamless application without joints or overlap details.
Due to its very fast reaction time, the product is applied using special spray machines. Its application speed and rapid curing properties minimise downtime compared to conventional waterproofing products. With its 100% solids formulation, it contains no VOCs or solvents. It meets the requirements of TS EN 1504-2 / Principles 1.3, 2.2, 5.1, 8.2.
With a tensile strength of 18.9 N/mm², tear strength of 37 N/mm², and elongation at break of 400%, the product maintains its performance across a service temperature range of -40°C to +120°C (short-term +250°C). As UV resistance is limited, it must be overcoated with FOX PURMAX® POLYUREA TOPCOAT or FOX PURMAX® TOPCOAT in exposed areas. System applications must be carried out by Authorised Specialist Applicator Dealers certified by FOX BAU PROFESSIONAL Technical Service.

Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation – General
Concrete surfaces to be coated must be sound and have sufficient compressive strength (minimum 25 N/mm²). Tensile strength must be at least 1.5 N/mm², moisture content maximum 4%, substrate temperature minimum +8°C; ensure the substrate temperature is at least +3°C above the dew point. The substrate must be clean, dry and free from dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds.
- 2
Concrete Surface Preparation
Oil, grease, fuel and paraffin residues, mould release agents, cement laitance, loose particles and cured membranes must be completely removed. Surface defects should be repaired with FOX EPOMORTAR FC510 or EPOCRETE series epoxy repair mortar; surface cracks should be filled with FOX PURSEAL PS600 polyurethane mastic.
- 3
Asphalt Surface Preparation
The asphalt surface must be cleaned with a water jet. For applications subject to vehicular traffic, the load-bearing capacity of the asphalt must be appropriate for the loads in use. The asphalt surface must be shot-blasted to expose at least 60% of the aggregates.
- 4
Bitumen Surface Preparation
Loose particles on the bitumen surface must be removed, blisters opened and dried. Major cracks must be opened, repaired and taped over.
- 5
Plywood / OSB Surface Preparation
Ensure the panels are correctly installed, all joints must be cleaned and taped with appropriate tape.
- 6
Steel / Iron Surface Preparation
Must be shot-blasted to SA 2.5 quality prior to primer application.
- 7
Priming
Surfaces to receive FOX PURMAX® SPRAYTEC FS562 must be primed beforehand with the appropriate FOX EPOTHANE® series primer or FOX PURMAX® PRIMER series for the surface type. Ensure the substrate temperature is a minimum of +8°C. Refer to the primer selection table supplied with the product for primer selection.
- 8
Coating (Spray Application)
FOX PURMAX® SPRAYTEC FS562 is applied using special spray machines with components A and B at a mixing ratio of 1:1 (by volume). Under no circumstances should solvents or other additives be added to the components during application. System application must only be carried out by Authorised Specialist Applicator Dealers certified by FOX BAU PROFESSIONAL Technical Service.
- 9
Topcoat (UV Protection)
FOX PURMAX® SPRAYTEC FS562 does not have sufficient UV resistance. On UV-exposed surfaces, FOX PURMAX® POLYUREA TOPCOAT or FOX PURMAX® TOPCOAT must be applied using a roller or airless spray machine.
- 10
Tool and Equipment Cleaning
Tools and equipment must be cleaned with solvent immediately after use. Once FOX PURMAX® SPRAYTEC FS562 has cured, it can only be removed from surfaces by mechanical means.
Concrete surfaces must be at least 3 weeks old prior to application. Ambient and surface temperature must be a minimum of -5°C and a maximum of +40°C.
Surface moisture content must be below 4%. There must be no rising moisture according to ASTM (polyethylene sheet test).
Substrate temperature must be a minimum of +8°C. Ensure the substrate temperature is at least +3°C above the dew point.
FOX PURMAX® SPRAYTEC FS562 does not have sufficient UV resistance. On UV-exposed surfaces it must be overcoated with FOX PURMAX® POLYUREA TOPCOAT or FOX PURMAX® TOPCOAT.
Components A and B are ready-to-use products; no solvent or other additive must be added during application.
System applications must only be carried out by Authorised Specialist Applicator Dealers certified by FOX BAU PROFESSIONAL Technical Service.
Materials to be used should be brought to the application site 1–2 days in advance and allowed to acclimatise to ambient conditions.
Rain, dust, wind, animals and insects must be prevented from coming into contact with the coating while it is still fresh.
Opened packages must be stored under appropriate conditions and used within 1 week.
The product must be stored between +15°C and +25°C, away from direct sunlight. Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
Approaching storage and application areas with open flames is dangerous; areas must be ventilated.
Appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. The product must be stored out of reach of children.
Consumption figures are given for ideal conditions assuming an ambient and surface temperature of 20°C. Actual consumption may vary depending on surface texture; it should be noted that consumption will increase on uneven surfaces.
