Product Description

FOX WATERPROF® FS105 is a single-component, ready-to-use elastic waterproofing material based on modified elastomeric resin. Available in white and grey, the product can be applied to vertical and horizontal surfaces in wet areas, under tiles, in bathrooms and showers, and in interior and exterior locations. It meets the TS EN 14891:2017/DMO1P and TS EN 1504-2:2005 (Principles 1.3, 2.2, 8.2) standards; its Bayındırlık Poz No is 15.270.1001. Its solvent-free formulation ensures safe use for both the environment and human health. With a minimum application thickness of 2 mm and an elongation at break of 150%, it provides crack-bridging capability and can be tiled over once cured.

Usage Areas

  • Under tiles
  • Interior and exterior applications, vertical and horizontal
  • Showers and bathrooms not exposed to pressurised water
  • Wet areas

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated must be sound, free from oil, grease, rust, paraffin, paint and bitumen residues, all loose particles removed, and dry. Freshly plastered (lime-free) and reinforced concrete surfaces must be allowed to complete a 28-day curing period. On uneven surfaces, surface defects should be repaired with FOX MORTAR FC188 T, and a 4 cm chamfer should be applied to corners and edges. Care must be taken to prevent water ponding on the waterproofed surface. Deep cracks must be filled with FOX PURSEAL PS600.

  2. 2

    Mixing

FOX WATERPROF® FS105 should be mixed for 3–5 minutes using an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm with a suitable mixing paddle.

  3. 3

    Priming

Surfaces to be waterproofed must be primed with FOX PRIMERA® FL220 absorbent and highly absorbent surface primer (diluted with water at a ratio of 1:1–1:2 depending on surface absorbency).

  4. 4

    Application

FOX WATERPROF® FS105 should be applied undiluted to the surface by brush, roller or spray to achieve a wet film thickness of 1.00–1.50 mm. At corner joints and cracks, after the 1st coat application, edges and joints must be reinforced with FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 chamfer tape, non-sized canvas or similar products before applying the 2nd coat. Each coat thickness must not exceed 1–1.50 mm.

  5. 5

    Tool Cleaning

After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water. Once FOX WATERPROF® FS105 has cured, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

Critical

Application temperature must be between +5°C and +30°C. Application must not be carried out outside this range.

Critical

The applied material must be protected from frost for the first 24 hours.

Critical

Must not be applied to wet or damp substrates.

Critical

Drying times between coats must be observed.

Important

Each coat thickness must not exceed 1–1.50 mm.

Important

Precautions must be taken on surfaces that need to be walked on.

Important

For surfaces to be tiled, it is recommended to use a high-performance C2TES1/S2 class adhesive in accordance with EN 12004-1.

Important
