Product Description
FOX PROCRETE® HF is a polyurethane cement (concrete) based, three-component industrial floor coating system formulated with a special aggregate addition for resins, designed for use in wet and dry environments, with a non-slip surface, excellent chemical, thermal shock and solvent resistance, applied at 6-12 mm thickness. With a density of 2.05±0.05 g/cm³, the product offers ≥58 N/mm² compressive strength, ≥6 N/mm² tensile strength and ≥16 N/mm² flexural strength at 28 days. The product has a non-slip surface (R11) compliant with EN13036-4 standard, is compliant with VOC emission chamber tests and meets all emission requirements for interior floor systems. It provides outstanding chemical resistance against concentrated inorganic and organic acids, alkalis and solvents. Thanks to its zero permeability and monolithic structure, it prevents bacterial and fungal growth and can be safely used in hygiene-sensitive environments in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

- Temperature Resistance: 6 mm coating retains its properties between -25°C/+80°C, 9 mm coating between -40°C/+120°C, 12 mm coating between -40°C/+130°C (occasionally +150°C). Continuously repeated thermal shocks do not cause blistering or delamination.

Application Steps

Surface Quality Inspection
The concrete substrates to be coated must be sound and have sufficient compressive strength (minimum 25 N/mm²). Tensile adhesion strength must be at least 1.5 N/mm² and the floor temperature must be a minimum of +10°C. Care must be taken to ensure the floor temperature is +3°C above the dew point. The substrate must be clean, dry and free from all dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds.

Surface Preparation
Concrete substrates must be prepared using abrasive equipment (shot blasting, milling, diamond grinding, etc.) to remove the laitance and achieve an open-pored surface. Weak concrete sections must be removed, small voids and holes must be opened up, and the resulting dust must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum. For substrate repairs, a mortar obtained from a mixture of 60-70 AFS (0.1-0.3 mm) quartz sand and FOX PROCRETE® PRIMER should be used.

Joint Cutting
For FOX PROCRETE® HF, joints of 8-10 mm width must be cut at column edges and in the floor (at least every 4-5 metres), and the joint gaps must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum. These gaps must be filled with FOX PROCRETE® HF after the FOX PROCRETE® PRIMER application.

Priming
Surfaces to receive FOX PROCRETE® HF must be primed either by squeegee application of FOX PROCRETE® MF or by roller application of FOX PROCRETE® PRIMER. After priming with FOX PROCRETE® PRIMER, the application window is min. 24 – max. 72 hours; re-priming is required if 72 hours is exceeded. When priming with FOX PROCRETE® MF, the minimum application window is 8 hours.

Mixing
Ensure product temperatures are between +15°C and +25°C. Use of a COLLOMIX XM 2 or similar mixer is recommended. First, components A and B are added completely to the mixer, then component C powder is added and mixed for a maximum of 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. After mixing, the material should be allowed to rest and then mixed again.

Coating Application
The prepared mixture is poured onto the primed surface and spread to the desired thickness (6-12 mm) using a suitable trowel or screed bar. To achieve a continuous and even floor, power trowel finishing is carried out once the concrete helicopter can bear its own weight or when the footprint depth is 0.5 cm.

Tool Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with solvent. Once FOX PROCRETE® HF has cured, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.
Application should not be carried out if the ambient, surface or material temperature is below +10°C or above +30°C; appropriate temperatures must be awaited.
Application should not be carried out in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.
Beware of dew point and condensation! Dew formation and water vapour condensation on unapplied or freshly coated floors will damage the coating. The floor temperature must be above +10°C.
The floor temperature must be a minimum of +10°C and care must be taken to ensure it is +3°C above the dew point of the substrate.
If priming with FOX PROCRETE® PRIMER, the application window over the primer is a minimum of 24 – maximum of 72 hours. Re-priming is mandatory if 72 hours is exceeded.
After application of FOX PROCRETE® HF, at least 1 day must be waited before applying another coating on top.
Component A freezes below 0°C; particular attention must be paid to storage conditions.
For ideal mixing, ensure the product temperature is between +15°C and +25°C. Mixing with a COLLOMIX XM 2 or similar mixer for a maximum of 3 minutes is recommended.
After mixing, the material should be allowed to rest and then mixed again.
Materials to be used in the application area should be brought and stored 1-2 days in advance to allow them to acclimatise to ambient conditions.
In extremely cold weather, the ambient and floor temperature should be raised with heaters, and materials should be conditioned at +20°C to +25°C before application.
Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture (when stored between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight). Opened packages must be consumed within 1 week.
The product should be stored in its original unopened packaging in a cool and dry environment between +5°C and +30°C, protected from frost.
Approaching storage and application areas with open flames is dangerous; areas must be ventilated.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask compliant with occupational health and safety regulations must be worn.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.
The working and reaction times of polyurethane-based systems are affected by ambient/floor temperature and relative humidity. The above values are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions.
