About FOX BETONAGE® Floor — Underfloor Heated Substrates (Chipboard/Gypsum Board) (BC+FC+FC)

FOX BETONAGE® is a fine-textured, ready-to-use decorative microcement coating material developed with an advanced polymer-based, multi-layer structure to create distinctive surfaces on floors and walls. This system is defined with a BC+FC+FC coating finish for underfloor heated substrates (chipboard/gypsum board).

Layer sequence: Surface Preparation, Primer, Glass Textile Mesh, Crack-Bridging Membrane, Self Levelling, Coating, Top Coat. Each Betonage layer is coloured with FOX DOMINO COLOR WB AC water-based pigment paste; sanding and dust removal between layers are part of the system. The layers that form the coating finish:
• FOX BETONAGE® BC — high strength, corrects surface defects, a solid and stable substrate
• FOX BETONAGE® FC — finer and more homogeneous texture, improves the decorative appearance

The surface can be walked on 24 hours after application is completed and reaches its final mechanical and chemical resistance in 7 days; it must be protected from direct water contact for the first 24 hours.

Consumption figures are given for ideal conditions at 23 °C; before deciding on a system solution we recommend a site inspection with our expert team and agreeing the desired texture on a sample.

Advantages

  • It is used indoors and outdoors.
  • Gives the space a continuous, seamless appearance.
  • Can be applied to any surface and object.
  • Resistant to UV radiation.
  • Watertight.
  • Different colour options are available (39 colours).

Which surfaces is this system applied to?

Applied to underfloor heated floors and chipboard-plasterboard surfaces. Board joints are laminated with mesh; the self levelling layer is applied so that it accommodates thermal movement.

What is the difference between the HP, BC and FC coats?

BC provides high strength and corrects surface defects; HP produces a smoother, wear-resistant surface; FC gives the finest and most homogeneous texture. The desired texture is agreed on prepared samples; this system is the BC+FC+FC combination.

What is the total thickness?

With proper surface preparation and correct application conditions, the total system thickness is approx. 8.20 mm. Values may vary depending on the surface condition and the application conditions.

Can it be used indoors and outdoors?

Yes. FOX BETONAGE® is used in interior and exterior spaces, is resistant to UV radiation and is waterproof. For wet area and exterior details, please consult our technical team.

When is the coating ready for use?

At 23 °C the surface can be walked on 24 hours after the application is completed; it reaches its final mechanical and chemical resistance at the end of 7 days. It must be protected from direct water contact for the first 24 hours; early water contact causes softening and blistering.

How is it cleaned and maintained?

It is cleaned with FOX CLEANER FR340, neutral detergents or alkalis diluted 5-10 % in water. Abrasive cleaners are not recommended.
