Product Description
FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART is a two-component, cement and polymer dispersion-based waterproofing material that prevents moisture, leakage, and surface water on concrete surfaces. Component A consists of special cement, mineral fillers, and polymer; Component B consists of liquid polymer dispersion. The product provides resistance against 4 bar negative and 10 bar positive water pressure. Through its capillary action mechanism, it permanently fills the pores of concrete and seals water pathways. Complying with TS EN 1504-2:2008 Principles 2.2 and 8.2, it is applied in two or three coats using a brush or spray machine. Thanks to its high adhesion strength and semi-flexibility, it forms a waterproof layer beneath screeds and ceramics. Water vapour permeability (breathability) has been determined as SD < 5 m in accordance with EN 7783-1 standards.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
The surface to be applied must be sound and free from all oil, grease, rust, paraffin, paint, and bitumen residues that would impair adhesion; all loose particles must be removed. Iron and wooden wedges on the surface must be removed; active water leaks must be repaired with FOX PLUG FC340, and voids, uneven surfaces, and corners/edges must be repaired with FOX MORTAR FC188 T repair mortar with a minimum radius of 4 cm. The surface must be dampened with water before application; however, ponding must not be allowed.

Mixing
Half of the FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART Component B is poured into a clean mixing container. 5–5.5 litres of water are added. Component A is then slowly added and mixed with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 3–5 minutes. The mixture, which reaches a paste consistency, is left to rest for 2 minutes; the remaining Component B is added and mixed for a further 1–2 minutes. Mixing ratio: 25 kg Component A + 2 kg Component B + 5–5.5 litres of water.

Application
The prepared mixture is applied in two or three coats using a waterproofing brush or spray machine. The direction of brush application in each coat must be perpendicular to the previous coat. The waiting time between coats varies depending on ambient conditions. The wet film thickness must not exceed 1.30 mm per coat. At corners, non-sized mesh (FOX PROMAT 135 Non-Sized) or FOX MULTISEAL® FS488 must be used for FOX TRIPLETAPE 120 chamfer tape application.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
Tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water immediately after application. Once FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.
Application should not be carried out if the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +25°C; suitable temperatures must be awaited. Application should also not be carried out in excessively hot, rainy, or windy weather.
FOX MULTISEAL® STANDART applied at +23°C gains mechanical strength after 2 days, can be overcoated after 3 days, becomes waterproof after 7 days, and reaches its final strength after 28 days.
For exterior surface applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, wind, rain, or frost for the first 24 hours.
For the material to complete its curing, the ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.
The wet film thickness in application must not exceed 1.30 mm per coat. Areas that need to be walked on should be covered with a screed containing FOX BINDER FM125 additive.
When covering with ceramics, marble, or similar products, the use of INNO-FIX series ceramic adhesives is recommended.
The working and reaction times of cement and acrylic-based systems are affected by ambient and substrate temperature and relative humidity in the air. At low temperatures, the reaction slows down; high temperatures accelerate the reaction.
When stored correctly at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +30°C, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Component B freezes below 0°C. Opened packages must be resealed tightly and used within 1 week.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated. Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. Keep out of reach of children.
