Product Description

FOX MULTISEAL® FS367 is a cement and polymer dispersion-based, two-component semi-elastic waterproofing material. It is specially designed for all types of reinforced concrete surfaces and cement-based renders. Component A consists of mineral fillers, special cement and polymer; Component B consists of liquid polymer dispersion. The mixing ratio is 20 kg of Component A and 5 kg of Component B.

The product complies with TS EN 1504-2:2005 standard, meeting requirements 2.2 and 8.2. The material can be applied by brush or spray machine and is applied in two or three coats at a minimum dry film thickness of 2 mm. At +23°C ambient conditions, full waterproofing is achieved after 7 days and final strength is reached after 28 days. Contact with drinking water has been approved according to BS6290 standard by the Department of Chemistry Education at Akdeniz University.

Key Benefits

  • Easily applied by brush or spray machine, saving labour.
  • Long pot life (~2 hours) allows uninterrupted work over large areas.
  • Its semi-flexible structure forms a durable, waterproof layer under screeds and ceramics.
  • Resistant to freeze–thaw cycles and soil chemicals; provides long-lasting protection in exterior and interior applications.
  • Water vapour permeability prevents moisture build-up on the surface.
  • Approved for contact with drinking water according to BS6290 standard; can be safely used in water tanks.

Advantages

  • Semi-flexible and waterproof.
  • Easy to prepare and apply.
  • Can be applied by brush or spray machine.
  • Long working time.
  • Due to high adhesion performance and semi-flexibility, forms a waterproof layer under screeds and ceramics.
  • Forms a seamless, joint-free, permanent, waterproof coating.
  • Resistant to soil chemicals and salt solutions.
  • Water vapour permeable.
  • Resistant to freeze–thaw cycles.

Usage Areas

  • In interior and exterior applications, on horizontal and vertical surfaces from the positive side where water is present
  • On wall and floor coverings of cold storage facilities
  • In all wet areas such as bathrooms, balconies, kitchens, etc.
  • On small terraces (provided the surface is covered)
  • On foundations, retaining walls and basement walls
  • For planter box waterproofing
  • In water and balance tanks
  • In drinking water tanks (contact with drinking water approved according to BS6290 standard by the Department of Chemistry Education at Akdeniz University)

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The surface to be treated must be sound and free from oil, grease, rust, paraffin, paint and bitumen residues, and all loose particles must be removed. Iron and wooden plugs on the surface must be removed, and any active water leaks must be plugged with FOX PLUG FC340. Existing voids, uneven surfaces and corners/edges (chamfering of at least 4 cm) must be repaired with FOX MORTAR FC188 T repair mortar. The surface must be dampened before application.

  2. 2

    Mixing

Half of FOX MULTISEAL® FS367 Component B is poured into a clean mixing container. Component A is slowly added while mixing with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 2–3 minutes. The mixture, which reaches a paste consistency, is left to mature for 3–5 minutes, then the remaining Component B is added and mixed for a further 1–2 minutes until ready for application.

  3. 3

    Mixing Ratios

    20 kg of FOX MULTISEAL® FS367 Component A is mixed with 5 kg of FOX MULTISEAL® FS367 Component B.

  4. 4

    Application

The prepared mixture is applied using a waterproofing brush in two or three coats to achieve a minimum dry film thickness of 2 mm. The direction of brush application must be perpendicular between each coat. The waiting time between coats varies depending on ambient conditions. Depending on the application area and size, alkali-resistant non-woven mesh should be used. For ceramic or marble coverings to be applied on top, it is recommended to use a FOX brand tile adhesive meeting C1/C1T/C1TE/C2TE/C2ES1/C2TES1/C2TES2 properties in accordance with EN 12004-1 standard.

  5. 5

    Tool Cleaning

Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned immediately with water. Once FOX MULTISEAL® FS367 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

Critical

Application should not be carried out if the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C; appropriate temperatures must be awaited. Application should also not be carried out in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.

Critical

For exterior surface applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, wind, rain or frost for the first 24 hours.

Critical

For the material to complete its curing, the ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.

Important

The wet film thickness in a single coat must not exceed 1.30 mm. Areas that need to be walked on must be covered with a screed containing FOX BINDER FM125 additive.

Critical

FOX MULTISEAL® FS367 Component B freezes at temperatures below 0°C. It must be protected from freezing during storage.

Important

Opened packages must be tightly resealed, stored under appropriate conditions and used within one week.

Important

For short-term storage, a maximum of 3 pallets may be stacked on top of each other, and shipment must follow a first-in first-out system. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.

Critical

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.

Important

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Critical

During storage and application, contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.

Information

The technical values above are given at +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the time, lower temperatures extend it.
