FOX PURATHANE® SF PORESEALER is a polyurethane-based, two-component, solvent-free pore sealer specially designed for sports floors. It is used to fill the pores and voids of EPDM and SBR rubber sheet surfaces. Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications; ideal for use in sports halls, tennis courts, gymnastics halls, wrestling halls, offices, and areas requiring sterile conditions or high strength.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
The EPDM or SBR rubber granule sheets to be coated must be fully cured. The surface must be dry and clean; foreign matter such as oil, grease, dirt, loose particles, and surface curing compounds must be removed. Surface moisture content must be below 4%.

Verification of Application Conditions
Confirm that surface, ambient, and material temperatures are between a minimum of +10°C and a maximum of +30°C. Relative air humidity must not exceed 80%; the risk of dew point and condensation must be checked. The substrate temperature must be at least +3°C above the ambient temperature.

Material Acclimatisation
Materials to be used should be brought to the application site 1–2 days before application and allowed to acclimatise to ambient conditions. In cold weather, containers should be conditioned at +20°C – +25°C.

Mixing Component A
Component A must be thoroughly mixed on its own using an electric mixer at 300–400 rpm with a suitable epoxy/polyurethane resin mixing paddle, ensuring no product remains at the bottom or sides of the container.

Combining the Two Components
After Component B has been added entirely into Component A, mix continuously for 3–4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Avoid excessive mixing to prevent air entrainment.

Application
Pour the prepared mixture onto the surface and apply using a flat-edged rubber squeegee or suitable trowel by the scraping method. Apply pressure to the trowel during scraping to remove excess material and ensure the pores are thoroughly filled.

Tool Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment must be cleaned with solvent or polyurethane thinner. Cured product can only be removed by mechanical means.

Curing Process
After application is complete, the coating must be protected from direct water contact for at least 24 hours. Full cure is achieved in 7 days. During the curing period, ambient and substrate temperatures must not fall below a minimum of +10°C.
Application temperature must be a minimum of +10°C and a maximum of +30°C. Application must not be carried out outside this range.

Mixing must be carried out using an electric mixer at 300–400 rpm with an epoxy/polyurethane resin mixing paddle. Failure to do so will result in air bubbles forming in the coating.
Component A must be thoroughly mixed on its own before use; Component B must then be added entirely into Component A and mixed for 3–4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Concrete surfaces must be at least 3 weeks old prior to application.
Contact of rain, dust, wind, animals, and insects with the fresh coating must be prevented.
Store between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry environment. Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
Open flames near storage and application areas are dangerous. Wear work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask during application. In case of skin or eye contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Once cured, the product can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means. Tools must be cleaned with solvent or polyurethane thinner after use.
