Product Description
FOX ALPHACOAT FF900 is a specially formulated, acrylic resin-based topcoat material used for the protection and polishing of all types of old or new concrete, exposed concrete, acid-stained floor concrete, natural stone, travertine, marble, cotto, pressed brick and cement-based precast facade claddings. It penetrates deeply into the surface, forming a transparent, crystal-clear finish; acts as a curing agent and provides long-term protection, dust prevention, surface resistance and aesthetic appearance.
Advantages
- Easy to apply and use.
- Forms a transparent, crystal-clear surface.
- Resistant to oil and fuel residues.
- Provides protection against all weather conditions and fungal growth on surfaces.
- Prevents dusting and provides a harder surface.
- Achieves an extremely easy-to-clean, smooth surface.
- Provides resistance against abrasion.
- Penetrates deeply to impart a vibrant appearance.
- Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles and UV.
- Can be applied with brush, roller and spray machine.
- Used in place of curing after surface hardener application, preventing sudden water loss from concrete and achieving a permanent topcoat surface.
- Vapour-permeable when applied on exterior facades.
- Water-repellent.
Usage Areas
- All types of old or new concrete, exposed concrete and floor concrete
- Floor concrete with surface hardener applied
- Acid-stained floor concrete
- Natural stone, travertine, marble, cotto, pressed brick and similar surfaces
- Cement-based precast facade claddings
- All types of exposed concrete surfaces
- Washed concrete surfaces
- Street furniture
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
Concrete surfaces to be coated must be opened to a porous state by removing the cement laitance using abrasive equipment such as shot blasting, milling or diamond grinding. Weak concrete fragments must be removed; small voids and holes must be fully opened and the resulting dust cleaned with an industrial vacuum. INNO-CRETE repair mortars should be used for filling voids and surface repair.
- 2
Checking Application Conditions
Freshly poured concrete must be allowed to complete a minimum of 28 days of curing. Surface moisture content must be below 4%; there must be no rising moisture according to the ASTM polyethylene sheet test. Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%; to prevent dew formation and condensation, the floor temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point.
- 3
Mixing
FOX ALPHACOAT FF900 must be mixed with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm until homogeneous.
- 4
Application
The product is applied in coats using a brush, roller or solvent-resistant spray pump. A minimum of 2 coats must be applied to achieve optimum performance. The waiting time between coats is 6–12 hours depending on ambient temperature. The number of coats may be increased depending on surface porosity. The spray method is recommended for achieving a uniform finish.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with solvent.
Ensure good ventilation at all times during application of FOX ALPHACOAT FF900; safety goggles, a mask and gloves must be worn during application.
The material contains solvent and is therefore flammable. It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; smoking is prohibited in the area and electrical short circuits must be avoided.
Water must never be added to FOX ALPHACOAT FF900.
When applying to freshly poured concrete, the concrete must be allowed to complete a minimum of 28 days of curing.
Dew formation and water vapour condensation on uncoated or freshly coated surfaces will damage the coating. To prevent this, the floor temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point.
Surface moisture content must be below 4%; there must be no rising moisture according to the ASTM polyethylene sheet test.
Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%.
Surface temperature, ambient temperature and material temperature must be within the range of minimum +10°C and maximum +30°C.
Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 3 pallets high; for long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes during storage and application; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas; store out of reach of children.
The technical values above are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time, lower temperatures extend it.
