FOX PURATHANE® PRIMER 1K ALİFATİK is a polyurethane-based, single-component, solvent-borne, waterproof, low-viscosity aliphatic primer. Product Description
FOX PURATHANE® PRIMER 1K ALİFATİK is a polyurethane-based, single-component, solvent-borne, waterproof, low-viscosity aliphatic primer. It is formulated for concrete surfaces, glossy and glazed surfaces, and slightly porous marble, ceramic and granite surfaces. Its single-component structure means it is ready to use without any mixing. Its fast setting property accelerates application processes; it forms a reliable primer layer in coating systems with excellent adhesion, high bond strength and outstanding chemical resistance. Thanks to its UV resistance, it does not yellow in exterior applications. It can be easily applied with a roller, trowel or zero-notch trowel.

Surface Preparation
The substrates to be applied must be sound, clean, dry and free from all foreign matter such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings and surface curing compounds. Before application on ceramic, marble or granite, joints and voids must be filled with suitable materials. The moisture content of the surface must be a maximum of 4% and the substrate temperature a minimum of +8°C; care must be taken to ensure it is at least +3°C above the dew point of the substrate.

Checking Application Conditions
Ambient and substrate temperature must be between +10°C and +25°C. Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%; there must be no rising moisture according to the ASTM polyethylene sheet test. Care must be taken against dew point and condensation.

Mixing
As FOX PURATHANE® PRIMER 1K ALİFATİK is single-component, no mixing is required; it is ready to use.

Application
Apply the product with a roller, trowel or zero-notch trowel. Ensure that the application covers the entire surface without voids. Consumption: 100–200 gr/m² (in 2 coats).

Waiting Time and Next Coat
After applying FOX PURATHANE® PRIMER 1K ALİFATİK, 24 hours must be allowed before applying another coating on top. The coating must be protected from direct water contact during this period.

Tool Cleaning
Tools and equipment used must be cleaned with solvent or polyurethane thinner. Once the product has cured, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.

The temperature of the surface to be applied, the material and the ambient temperature must be between +10°C and +25°C.

After the application is complete, the coating must be protected from direct water contact for at least 24 hours. If water contact occurs, softening and blistering may occur in the coating; in this case the coating must be completely removed and reapplied.

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flame. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.
Important
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Materials to be used should be brought to the application site 1–2 days in advance and kept at +20/+25°C to acclimatise to ambient conditions.

Rain, dust, wind, animals and insects must be prevented from entering the building while the coating is still fresh.
Important
The product must be stored in its original sealed packaging, in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight and protected from frost, between +5°C and +30°C. Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
