Product Description
FOX HARDTOP® SI PREMIUM FF844 is a silicate and silane-based, water-borne liquid concrete surface hardener. It provides dust-proofing on freshly poured and existing (old) concrete surfaces, imparts water-repellent properties, and reduces and prevents staining. Its entire solid content consists of active material, and it penetrates deeply into the concrete surface with excellent penetration capacity. It increases abrasion resistance by 20–50% on surfaces and prevents ASR reactions that cause surface cracking. With its environmentally friendly formulation, it is a suitable product for LEED and BREEAM standards. Thanks to its single-component structure, it is ready to use and offers rapid application.

Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The substrate to be applied must be sound, clean, dry, and free from all foreign matter such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings, and surface curing compounds. The substrate temperature must be +5°C or above. Remove all dirt, deposits, and residues from the existing concrete surface; allow the surface to dry.
- 2
Grinding / Honing
Prepare the surface using grinding and polishing machines with diamond discs or cleaning and maintenance pads. Prior to FOX HARDTOP® SI PREMIUM FF844 application, the grinding/honing/polishing level should be in the range of 100–400 grit.
- 3
Application
Apply using a low-pressure sprayer with a soft white polishing pad (mop). Ensure that the application covers the entire surface without gaps. Spread the product with a pre-dampened polishing pad (mop). Re-apply to areas that dry before 10 minutes. Can be applied immediately to freshly poured concrete surfaces without any prior preparation.
- 4
Drying and Polishing
Allow the applied surfaces to dry completely. Depending on the desired level of gloss, continue polishing with 800–3000 grit resin pads. The surface is ready for use once dry; however, completion of the reaction may take up to two weeks depending on temperature and weather conditions.
- 5
Tool Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with solvent or polyurethane thinner. Once FOX HARDTOP® SI PREMIUM FF844 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.
The temperature of the surface to be applied, the material, and the ambient environment must be between +5°C and +35°C.
After application, the temperature must remain above +5°C for at least 4 hours.
After the application is completed, the coating must be protected from direct water contact for at least 72 hours. In case of water contact, the entire coating must be removed and reapplied.
Protect from contact with metal, glass, wood, paint, or brick. If these surfaces are accidentally exposed to the product, they must be washed immediately with clean water.
In hot conditions, it may be necessary to spray water on the hot concrete to cool the surface prior to application.
Materials to be used should be brought to the application site 1–2 days in advance and allowed to acclimatise to ambient conditions.
Rain, dust, wind, animals, and insects must be prevented from coming into contact with the coating while it is still fresh.
Store in the original unopened packaging, in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight, protected from frost, between +5°C and +35°C. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
During storage and application, avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; these areas must be well ventilated.
Consumption figures are given for ideal conditions where ambient and surface temperature is assumed to be 20°C. It should be noted that consumption will increase on damaged surfaces and in cold weather conditions.
Store out of reach of children.
