FOX HARDTOP® LI GLOSS FF847 is a lithium silicate-based, silicone and polymer modified concrete sealer that imparts high gloss, stain resistance, and abrasion resistance. Its high lithium content and 100% active ingredient ratio ensure excellent penetration. It can be applied to both old and new concrete surfaces; its rapid polishing capability and compliance with LEED and BREEAM standards make it an environmentally friendly choice. Its single-component formulation is ready to use and requires no mixing. It increases abrasion resistance by 20–50% and provides resistance to stains and water.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
The substrate to be applied must be sound, clean, dry, and free from all foreign matter such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings, surface curing compounds, etc. The substrate temperature must be +5°C or above.

Surface Cleaning and Preparation
Remove all dirt, residue, and deposits from the existing concrete surface. Allow the cleaned surfaces to dry. Prepare the surface using grinding and polishing machines with diamond discs or cleaning and maintenance pads. Apply FOX HARDTOP® LI STANDART FF840 / FOX HARDTOP® LI PREMIUM FF845 up to 100–400 grit according to the application procedure.

Product Application
Apply FOX HARDTOP® LI GLOSS FF847 to the surface using a low-pressure sprayer with a soft/white polishing pad or a microfibre mop. Ensure that the application covers the entire surface without gaps. Spread with a pre-moistened polishing pad (mop). Re-apply to any areas that dry before 10 minutes.

Drying and Polishing
Allow the applied surfaces to dry completely. Depending on the desired gloss level on the existing concrete surface, continue polishing with 800–3000 grit resin pads using FOX HARDTOP® LI STANDART FF840 / FOX HARDTOP® LI PREMIUM FF845. Carry out the polishing process with Shine Pro Buff.

Readiness for Use
The surface is ready for use once dry; however, completion of the reaction may take up to two weeks depending on temperature and weather conditions.

Tool Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with solvent or polyurethane thinner. Once FOX HARDTOP® LI GLOSS FF847 has cured, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.

The temperature of the surface to be applied, the material, and the ambient environment must be between +5°C and +35°C.

After application, the temperature must remain above +5°C for at least 4 hours.

After the application is complete, the coating must be protected from direct water contact for at least 72 hours. If water contact occurs, softening and blistering will develop on the coating, causing it to lose its properties. In this case, the coating must be completely removed and reapplied.

Important

Protect from contact with metal, glass, wood, paint, or brick. If these surfaces are accidentally exposed to the product, they must be washed immediately with clean water.

Important

In hot conditions, it may be necessary to spray water onto the hot concrete to cool the surface prior to application.

Important

Materials to be used should be brought to the application site 1–2 days in advance and allowed to acclimatise to ambient conditions.

Important

Rain, dust, wind, animals, and insects must be prevented from entering the building while the coating is still fresh.

Important

When stored correctly at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +35°C, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Important

Store in the original unopened packaging, in a cool and dry environment, away from direct sunlight and protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 2 pallets high. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of one another.

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; if contact occurs, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.

Information

Consumption figures are given for ideal conditions assuming an ambient and surface temperature of 20°C. Actual consumption may vary depending on surface texture and ambient temperature. It should be noted that consumption will increase on rough surfaces and in cold weather conditions.

RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION PERIODS FOR PERSONAL DATA

At the end of this period, the data will be deleted, destroyed or anonymised in full compliance with the KVKK. In order to protect your personal data and to prevent unlawful access to it, our Company takes the necessary administrative and technical measures in line with the Personal Data Security Guide published by the Personal Data Protection Authority, draws up internal procedures, prepares disclosure and explicit consent texts and, pursuant to Article 12/3 of the KVKK, carries out, or has carried out through external services, the audits necessary to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the KVKK.
