Product Description
FOX HARDTOP® FF300 RELEASE AGENT is a single-component, powder-formulated, cement-based product used as a release agent in stamped concrete systems. The product is applied by spreading it homogeneously over the surface after the FOX HARDTOP® FF300 BASKI BETON application. Pressure washing is carried out 1–2 days after the stamps are placed; the surface is then dried and FOX ALPHA-CİLA FF860 is applied in coats using a brush, roller, or solvent-resistant spray pump. Each coat should be applied after waiting 2–3 hours depending on ambient temperature; a minimum of 2 coats should be applied for optimum performance. The number of coats may be increased depending on surface porosity. It can be safely used in shopping centres, walkways, and indoor/outdoor areas where stamped concrete moulds are used.
Advantages
- Prevents stamped concrete system moulds from adhering to the surface.
- Prevents the edges of stamped concrete system moulds from breaking when removed from the concrete.
- Ensures easy release of stamped concrete system moulds.
- Ensures that stamped concrete system mould patterns are fully transferred onto the concrete surface.
Usage Areas
- Indoors and outdoors
- In shopping centres
- On walkways
- In areas where stamped concrete moulds are used
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The moisture content of the surface to be treated must be below 4%. There must be no rising moisture according to ASTM. The substrate temperature must be between a minimum of +10°C and a maximum of +30°C; to guard against the risk of condensation, the substrate temperature must be kept at least +3°C above the dew point.
- 2
Application of the Release Agent
FOX HARDTOP® FF300 RELEASE AGENT is spread homogeneously over the surface after the FOX HARDTOP® FF300 BASKI BETON application. The product is single-component and ready to use; no mixing or addition of water is required.
- 3
Stamping and Pressing
After the release agent has been applied, the stamps are placed and the pressing operation is carried out.
- 4
Pressure Washing
After the pressing operation, wait 1–2 days and then proceed with pressure washing according to the desired surface finish.
- 5
Surface Sealer Application
After the surface has been dried, FOX ALPHA-CİLA FF860 is applied in coats using a brush, roller, or solvent-resistant spray pump. The waiting time between coats is 2–3 hours depending on ambient temperature. A minimum of 2 coats should be applied for optimum performance; the number of coats may be increased depending on surface porosity.
