Product Description
FOX DOMINO® AC SEALER FD792 is an acrylic-based protective material used to prevent dusting on all types of concrete floors and to impart a glossy appearance. Thanks to its liquid acrylic copolymer dispersion-based, single-component formulation, the product is supplied ready to use and requires no mixing. Its water-based, solvent-free composition offers an environmentally friendly application. The product can be easily applied by spray or fibre mop; 2–3 coats are recommended depending on surface absorbency. The glossy film layer it forms on the surface protects the floor appearance while providing resistance to abrasion and scratching. With its waterproofing property that prevents cracks caused by freezing, it offers long-lasting protection. With a solid content of 19±1% and a density of 1.03±0.05 g/cm³, it is suitable for rapid application. Drying time at +23°C and 50% relative humidity is 30 minutes; a minimum of 30 minutes must be allowed before applying the second coat.
Advantages
- Provides diamond-like clarity and gloss.
- Cures faster than conventional topcoat coatings.
- Resistant to soiling, high-heel marks, and wheelchair tyre (black) marks.
- Increases abrasion resistance and prevents dusting.
- Resistant to scratching.
- Provides waterproofing and prevents cracks caused by freezing.
- Used as a polish thanks to the glossy film layer it forms.
- Preserves the natural appearance of the applied surface.
- Easy to apply and use.
- Results in an extremely easy-to-clean, smooth surface.
- Solvent-free.
Usage Areas
- All types of old or new concrete, exposed concrete area slabs
- Cement-based floor coverings
- Terrazzo floors
- Floors and walls where a glossy appearance is desired
- Epoxy and polyurethane-based floor coatings
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The concrete substrates to be treated must be prepared using abrasive equipment (shot blasting, milling, diamond grinding, etc.) to remove the cement laitance and achieve an open-pored surface. The resulting dust must be removed with an industrial vacuum. On epoxy/polyurethane-based surfaces, oil, dirt, and similar contaminants must first be cleaned. Surface moisture content must be a maximum of 4%, and floor temperature must be between +10°C and +30°C.
- 2
Mixing
FOX DOMINO® AC SEALER FD792 is ready to use; no mixing is required. The product must not be thinned.
- 3
Application
FOX DOMINO® AC SEALER FD792 is applied by spray or fibre mop. The application rate should be adjusted according to the condition of the surface. 2–3 coats should be applied depending on surface absorbency; a minimum of 30 minutes must be allowed before applying the second coat. For freshly cast concrete, the concrete must have completed a minimum curing period of 28 days before application.
- 4
Tool Cleaning
After application, the tools and equipment used must be cleaned with solvent or water.
When applying to freshly cast concrete, the concrete must have completed a minimum curing period of 28 days.
The temperature of the surface to be treated, the material, and the ambient environment must be between +10°C and +30°C.
The moisture content at a concrete depth of 2 cm must be below 4%. (Test method: C-Aquameter, CM-Device, Darr Method)
There must be no rising moisture according to ASTM. (Polyethylene sheet test)
Relative air humidity must be a maximum of 80%.
Beware of dew point and condensation! The floor temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point.
Dew formation and water vapour condensation on uncoated or freshly coated floors will damage the coating; to prevent this, the floor temperature must be at least +3°C above the dew point.
FOX DOMINO® AC SEALER FD792 must not be thinned.
Must be stored in its original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, a maximum of 3 pallets may be stacked and shipment must follow a first-in, first-out system. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; these areas must be ventilated.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations must be worn.
During storage and application, contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Must be stored out of reach of children.
Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, between +10°C and +30°C.
The technical values above are given for conditions of +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend it.
