Product Description
FOX PURFUGA FX145 PEBBLE is a polyurethane-based, two-component, solvent-free grout. Specially formulated for FOX Pebbledeck systems, it can be safely applied on horizontal and vertical surfaces in swimming pools. Component A is a polyurethane resin and Component B is a polyurethane hardener; the hardener (0.60 kg) is supplied inside the resin packaging. Complies with TS EN 13888 - RG (Reaction resin-based grouts) class. Suitable for joint widths between 2 mm and 10 mm. With a density of 1.60±0.05 gr/cm³, the product offers high mechanical strength with ≥30 N/mm² compressive strength and ≥10 N/mm² flexural strength. Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles, pool chemicals, and acidic cleaners.
Advantages
- Easy and fast to apply.
- High mechanical strength.
- Resistant to pool chemicals and cleaning agents.
- Hygienic.
- More resistant to acidic cleaners.
- Does not retain dirt, easy to clean.
- Suitable for joint widths from 2 mm to 10 mm.
- Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles.
Usage Areas
- Used as grout in FOX PEBBLEDECK® systems.
- Used on vertical and horizontal surfaces in swimming pools.
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The adhesive used for the tile installation must be allowed to reach the required strength. Ensure that the tile surfaces are clean before applying the material.
- 2
Mixing
FOX PURFUGA FX145 PEBBLE is packaged in appropriate quantities as two components. If only part of the packaging is to be used, mix in the ratio of Resin A / Hardener B (A: 5.20 kg, B: 0.60 kg). Mix with a drill fitted with a mixing paddle at 400–600 rpm for at least 3 minutes until a homogeneous two-component mixture is obtained. The hardener component (0.60 kg) is contained within the resin packaging.

Application
FOX PURFUGA FX145 PEBBLE is filled into joints using a plastic or hard rubber trowel or with the aid of a cartridge gun. Depending on weather conditions, FOX EPOTHANE® THINNER may be added at a rate of 2% to thin the product. Excess material is scraped from the joints. In deep joints, the initially applied material may settle; ensure that the joint is completely filled. Depending on ambient and surface temperature, wait 10–15 minutes, then clean the surface with a suitable sponge and FOX TROWEL CLEANER to finish the joints. The sponge should be changed frequently as it becomes soiled during cleaning.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
Tools and equipment used after application must not be cleaned with water; they must be cleaned with FOX TROWEL CLEANER. Once FOX PURFUGA FX145 PEBBLE has hardened, it can only be removed from surfaces by mechanical means.

Cleaning of Tiles
Polyurethane-based grouts form a film layer on tiles. This layer must be thoroughly cleaned; if left too late, cleaning becomes very difficult. The final film layer on the tiles must be cleaned 4 to 10 hours after application using a suitable sponge and FOX TROWEL CLEANER.
FOX PURFUGA FX145 PEBBLE must be mixed mechanically; it must never be mixed by hand or with a trowel.
Water or new material must never be added to the FOX PURFUGA FX145 PEBBLE mixture.
Application must not be carried out if the ambient and substrate temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C; appropriate temperatures must be awaited.
Application must not be carried out in extremely hot, windy, or rainy weather.
Cleaning with FOX TROWEL CLEANER must begin 15 to 30 minutes after FOX PURFUGA FX145 PEBBLE has been applied.
Tools and equipment used after application must not be cleaned with water; they must be cleaned with FOX TROWEL CLEANER.
The final film layer on the tiles must be cleaned 4 to 10 hours after application using a suitable sponge and FOX TROWEL CLEANER. If left too late, cleaning becomes very difficult.
If application is to be carried out in cold weather, the packaging should be conditioned in a warm environment between +20°C and +25°C to improve workability.
The ambient and substrate temperature must not fall below the specified minimum temperature for the material to fully cure.
The product must be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +30°C. Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
Opened packaging must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Approaching storage and application areas with open flames is dangerous; these areas must be ventilated.
Protective clothing, gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Low temperatures slow down the reaction, extending pot life and working time; viscosity will increase, which will also increase consumption. High temperatures accelerate the reaction.
The technical values above are given at +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions.
