Product Description
FOX DOMINO® TERRAZZO +20 FD772 is a cement-based, high-strength, fast-application binder developed specifically for the FOX DOMINO® PLUS TERRAZZO system. Thanks to its early setting properties, the surface can be walked on after 8 hours and reaches load-bearing capacity after 24 hours. With compressive strength values of ≥50 N/mm² at 7 days and ≥60 N/mm² at 28 days, it meets the demands of high-traffic areas. The product holds fire class A1 per TS EN 13501 and is non-combustible. It can be confidently used in interior and exterior spaces requiring intensive use, such as airports, hospitals, galleries, shopping centres, and hotels.
Advantages
- Fast to apply.
- Walkable after 8 hours.
- Very rapid hardening; load-bearing after 24 hours.

Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The concrete substrate to be coated must be mechanically prepared using abrasive equipment such as shot blasting, milling, or diamond grinding to remove the cement laitance and open the pores. Weak concrete sections must be removed, small voids and holes must be fully opened, and the resulting dust must be cleaned with an industrial vacuum. Substrate repair and filling of voids must be carried out with FOX MORTAR FC188 T repair mortar.
- 2
Checking Application Conditions
Surface moisture content must be below 4% (tested by CM measurement or oven-drying method), there must be no rising damp according to ASTM (polyethylene sheet test), relative humidity must be a maximum of 80%, and attention must be paid to dew formation and condensation. Floor temperature must be above a minimum of +10°C.
- 3
Priming
Surfaces to be coated must be pre-primed with the EPOTHANE® series primer. It is essential to ensure that the floor temperature is a minimum of +10°C. FOX DOMINO® TERRAZZO +20 FD772 must be applied over the primer within the application window.
- 4
Mixing
Before mixing, ensure that the product temperature is between +20°C and +25°C. For 25 kg of FOX DOMINO® TERRAZZO +20 FD772, mix 37.5 kg of aggregate and 5.00±0.25 l of water in a mortar mixer. Excessive mixing should be avoided to minimise air entrainment.
- 5
Application
The prepared mixture is applied to the primed surface where application conditions have been met. Working time is 25–30 minutes. During application, surface, ambient, and material temperatures must be within the range of a minimum of +10°C and a maximum of +30°C.
- 6
Curing and Return to Traffic
After application is complete, the surface can be walked on after 8 hours and becomes load-bearing after 24 hours. Technical values are based on conditions of +23°C and 50% relative humidity.
The surface temperature of the application area must be a minimum of +10°C and a maximum of +30°C. Application must not be carried out outside this range.
Ambient temperature must be between a minimum of +10°C and a maximum of +30°C. High temperatures shorten the working time; low temperatures extend it.
Surface moisture content must be below 4%. There must be no rising damp (polyethylene sheet test – ASTM).
FOX DOMINO® TERRAZZO +20 FD772 must not be applied to surfaces that have not been primed with the EPOTHANE® series primer.
Attention must be paid to dew formation and condensation. Dew formation and water vapour condensation on uncoated or freshly coated floors will damage the coating.
Before mixing, ensure that the product temperature is between +20°C and +25°C. Excessive mixing should be avoided to minimise air entrainment.
Relative humidity must be a maximum of 80%.
The product must be stored between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry environment. It must be protected from frost during winter months. Shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.
Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Must be stored out of reach of children. Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas.
