Product Description
FOX BETONAGE® POOL FC is a decorative topcoat material based on special cement and polymer dispersion, developed for pools and applicable both horizontally and vertically. Thanks to its structure of mineral fillers and polymer-reinforced special cement, it can be used safely indoors and outdoors in swimming pools, spas and ornamental pools. Its wide range of colours (Grey Age, White Age, Agate Grey, Stone Grey, Pebble Grey, Platinium Grey, Smoky, Black, Ivory, Beige, Antique Beige, Chocolate, Saffron, Blue Nile, Green Almond, Salmon Pink, Terracota, Tomato Red) gives the space a seamless and decorative appearance. Offering a compressive strength of ≥11 N/mm² at 28 days and an adhesion strength to concrete of ≥1 N/mm², the product forms a UV-resistant and watertight coating. Applied on the principle of two coats, the product can be completed after the final coat with FOX DOMINO® AC SEALER FD796 sealer.

Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The concrete substrates to be coated must be prepared using abrasive equipment (shot blasting, milling, diamond grinding, etc.) so that the cement laitance is removed and an open-pored surface is obtained. Weak concrete particles must be removed from the surface, and small voids and holes must be fully opened up. The resulting dust must be removed with an industrial vacuum cleaner. The substrate must be clean, dry and free of any dirt, oil, grease, coatings and curing compounds that would prevent adhesion. The floor temperature must be at least +10°C, the moisture content at most 4%, the tensile strength at least 1.5 N/mm² and the compressive strength at least 25 N/mm².
- 2
Mixing
Place the amount of polymer stated on the packaging into a clean mixing container. Add the specified proportion of colour pigment to the polymer and mix homogeneously. Then add FOX BETONAGE® POOL FC slowly and mix with an electric mixer and a suitable mixing paddle at 600-1000 rpm for 3-4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Do not allow lumps to form at the bottom of the pail. After waiting approximately 1 minute, mix for a further 1 minute to make it ready for use. Mixing ratio: 312.5 g of polymer and 12.5 g of colour pigment per 1 kg of powder.

First Coat Application
Dampen the surface to be coated. Pour the prepared homogeneous mixture onto the surface and spread it with a suitable trowel. Once the material has dried, sand the surface with 120-grit abrasive. When sanding is complete, vacuum the dust from the surface and wipe it with a damp cloth. First coat consumption: 1.00-1.25 kg/m².
- 4
Second Coat Application
Before starting the second coat, dampen the application surface so that no dry areas remain. Repeat all the steps exactly as for the first coat. Second coat consumption: 0.80-1.00 kg/m².

Sealer Application and Tool Cleaning
After sanding, the application can be completed by applying FOX DOMINO® AC SEALER FD796 to the surface. The tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water after application. Once FOX BETONAGE® POOL FC has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.
If the ambient and surface temperature is below +10°C or above +30°C, the product must not be applied and suitable temperatures must be awaited.
The freshly applied product must be protected from sunlight and wind so that it does not dry too quickly. The product must not be applied in extremely hot, rainy or windy weather.
For the material to complete its curing, the ambient and floor temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.
After mixing, the material must be left to rest and then mixed again. The material must not be allowed to form lumps at the bottom of the pail.
The materials to be used must be brought to the application area and stored there 1-2 days in advance so that they acclimatise to the ambient conditions.
In extremely cold weather, the ambient and floor temperature must be raised with heaters; the materials must be conditioned at +20°C/+25°C to make them ready for application.
Opened packaging must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
It must be stored in its unopened original packaging in a cool, dry place, protected from frost. For short-term storage, a maximum of 3 pallets may be stacked. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked.
Approaching storage and application areas with a naked flame is dangerous; these areas must be ventilated.
Work clothes, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be used during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.
It must be stored out of the reach of children.
