Purathane is a polyurethane-based floor coating system that provides crack bridging with its elastic structure. Thanks to its UV resistance it protects against colour fading outdoors; thanks to its flexibility it prevents cracking on floors subject to vibration and movement. The choice of thickness and finish determines the balance between comfort and abrasion resistance.

Product Description
Purathane has been developed for moving and outdoor floors where rigid epoxy systems crack. Its elastic body provides walking comfort while reducing impact noise; the UV-resistant top coat gives long-term colour stability in open areas.

Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
The floor is opened up by milling or shot blasting; dust, oil and loose particles are completely removed.
- 2
Primer
A primer suited to the surface moisture is selected; quartz sand is broadcast onto the fresh primer.
- 3
Intermediate Layers
Depending on the type of system, waterproofing and/or a wearing layer is applied.
- 4
Top Coat
The top coat is applied in the selected colour and left to cure in a dust-free environment.
Which surfaces can the system be applied to?
It is applied to sound, load-bearing floors with sufficient surface tensile strength. The surface moisture must not exceed 4%.
When can it be put into use after application?
It can be opened to light use 24 hours after the top coat application and to full load after 7 days.
Can it be applied over an existing coating?
If the adhesion and strength of the existing coating are sufficient, it can be applied after surface preparation.
The surface moisture must not exceed 4%. At high moisture levels the primer adhesion drops and blistering occurs.
Application must not be carried out without observing the waiting times between coats.
Slight shade variations may occur between different production batches; using a single batch in the same area is recommended.
