Product Description
FOX ULTRAPRIMER FL222 is an acrylic dispersion-based, single-component, filled and pigmented adhesion primer. It is applied prior to ceramic tile adhesive mortars in all renovation work to increase surface adhesion. It can be used on ceramic coverings in interior and exterior areas, horizontal and vertical ceramic surfaces, as well as impregnated OSB boards and timber-based surfaces. Drying time is 2–4 hours at +23°C and 50% relative humidity; a minimum of 4 hours must be allowed before proceeding with tile application. Its ready-to-use formula requires no dilution — simply mix thoroughly before application.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
The surfaces to be treated must be sound, dry, dust-free and clean. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of all oil, grease, rust and paraffin residues that could impair adhesion, and freed from loose particles.

Mixing
FOX ULTRAPRIMER FL222 is ready to use. However, it must be thoroughly mixed before use. Water must never be added.

Application
FOX ULTRAPRIMER FL222 is applied uniformly using a suitable roller. A minimum of 4 hours must be allowed after application before proceeding with tile installation.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
Tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water after application. Once FOX ULTRAPRIMER FL222 has hardened, it can only be removed from surfaces mechanically.

If the substrate temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must not be carried out; wait until suitable temperatures are reached.

Sensitive to frost. Must not be stored or transported below 0°C.

For the material to cure properly, the substrate temperature and ambient temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.

In exterior applications, protect from sunlight, rain, wind and frost for the first 24 hours. Contamination of the primer during and after application must be prevented.

Must not be applied over gypsum plaster, gypsum board or gypsum blocks.

Opened packaging must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.

Pallets must never be stacked on top of one another during storage. Shipment must follow a first-in, first-out system.

Approaching storage and application areas with open flames is dangerous. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.

Appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations must be worn during application.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes during storage and application; if contact occurs, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

The EU limit value for the VOC content of this product (category IIA/g type wb) is max. 30 g/l (2010). This product contains <30 g/l VOC.
