Product Description
FOX PRIMERA® FL220 is a polymer dispersion-based, single-component, water-based, transparent universal primer developed for all absorbent and weak surfaces. Thanks to its acrylic copolymer dispersion structure, it contains no organic solvents; this property allows it to be used safely in enclosed spaces. On absorbent surfaces such as gypsum plaster, gypsum board, render and chipboard, it simultaneously provides surface strengthening, moisture protection and adhesion enhancement. It is also preferred for increasing the adhesion of self-levelling screeds to the substrate, reducing air bubbles and preventing surface dusting. It can be easily applied by brush or roller according to the requirements of the application area.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be treated must be free of all types of dirt. If the surface is very dusty, it should be washed with water or thoroughly cleaned with a damp sponge. All weak particles must be scraped off the surface; a sound and clean surface must be obtained.

Application
FOX PRIMERA® FL220 is poured onto the cleaned and prepared surface. The material is applied to the surface homogeneously using a brush or roller. The application rate should be adjusted according to the condition of the surface. On surfaces with a high risk of adhesion, the consumption should be increased. Pooling on the surface must not be allowed.

Tool and Equipment Cleaning
After application, tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water. Once FOX PRIMERA® FL220 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

If the substrate temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must not be carried out; suitable temperatures must be awaited.

The material is affected by frost. It must not be stored or transported below 0°C.

For the material to complete its cure, the substrate temperature and ambient temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.
Important
In outdoor applications, the product must be protected from sunlight, rain, wind and frost for the first 24 hours. Contamination of the primer during and after application must be prevented.

The product must be stored in its original unopened packaging in a dry and cool environment (between +5°C and +30°C), protected from sunlight and frost. Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.

Pallets must never be stacked on top of one another during storage. Shipment must be carried out on a first-in, first-out basis.
Important
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

The EU limit value for the VOC content of this product (category IIA/g type wb) is max. 30 g/l (2010). This product contains <30 g/l VOC.
Information
The technical values above are given at +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend it.
