Product Description

FOX CERAPLUS® FX112 is a flexible adhesive mortar with high bonding performance, composed of special cement, mineral fillers and polymer additives. Its formulation with reduced slip (T class) and extended open time (E class) allows controlled application over large areas. Meeting the TS EN 12004-1:2017 C2TES1 standard, it provides secure adhesion in the most demanding outdoor conditions and wet areas. Suitable for tiles, ceramics, porcelain stoneware and natural stone; applicable in bathrooms, balconies, kitchens, swimming pools, hammams and industrial floors. Reaction to Fire Class EN 15301-1 A2-s1,d0; service temperature range -20°C to +80°C.

Application Steps

Surface Preparation – Cement-Based Surfaces
Surfaces to be tiled must be sound, free of dust and dirt, and level. Areas requiring repair must be repaired with INNO-CRETE series repair mortars at least 1 day in advance. If the surface temperature exceeds +25°C, the surface should be lightly dampened.

Surface Preparation – Other Surfaces
Before application on highly absorbent surfaces such as aerated concrete, gypsum plaster, chipboard, plasterboard or lime plaster, FOX PRIMERA® FL220 primer is diluted 1:1 with water and applied to the surface. Bonding may commence a minimum of 8 hours after primer application.

Mixing
The appropriate quantity of water specified on the packaging is poured into a clean mixing container. The FOX CERAPLUS® FX112 bag is opened and the powder is slowly added to the water while mixing with a drill mixer at 400–600 rpm until homogeneous, for approximately 3–4 minutes. The material is left to rest for 1 minute, then mixed again for 1 minute before use. For Grey: 7.5±0.25 litres of water per 25 kg bag (300±10 ml per 1 kg). For White: 8±0.25 litres of water per 25 kg bag (320±10 ml per 1 kg).

Application
Using the flat side of the trowel, a 1 mm layer of FOX CERAPLUS® FX112 is applied to the substrate. Within the 30-minute open time, the notched side of the trowel is used to comb the adhesive in one direction over an area that can be covered within that time, achieving a uniform thickness. When bonding tiles of varying thickness, it is recommended to also apply a 1 mm layer of mortar to the back of each tile. Tiles are pressed firmly into the mortar to ensure full contact. Application is completed leaving appropriate joint spacing.

Open Time Test
To check the open time, press a finger onto the applied adhesive. If the adhesive transfers to the finger, application may continue. If it does not transfer, the open time has elapsed; the adhesive must be scraped off and fresh mortar applied.

Grouting
Grouting can begin approximately 24 hours after installation. INNO-FIX Series grout fillers should be used to fill the joints.

Cleaning of Tools
Tools and equipment must be cleaned with water immediately after use. Once FOX CERAPLUS® FX112 has hardened, it can only be removed from surfaces mechanically.

If the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must not be carried out; suitable temperatures must be awaited.

Application must not be carried out in extremely hot, rainy or very windy weather.

For outdoor applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, rain, wind and frost for the first 24 hours.

If the adhesive does not transfer to the finger, the open time has elapsed; the adhesive must be scraped off the surface and fresh adhesive applied.

Grouting can begin no earlier than 24 hours after installation.

Important

On highly absorbent surfaces (aerated concrete, gypsum plaster, chipboard, plasterboard, lime plaster), FOX PRIMERA® FL220 primer diluted 1:1 with water must be applied before installation and a minimum of 8 hours must be allowed to elapse.

If the surface temperature exceeds +25°C, the surface should be lightly dampened before application.

Important

The product must be stored in its original unopened packaging in a dry, cool environment (+5°C to +30°C), protected from sunlight and frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Important

Opened packaging must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.

Important

Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. In case of contact with skin or eyes, wash thoroughly with water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Information

Working and reaction times for ceramic adhesive mortars are affected by air temperature, humidity and substrate temperature. High temperatures shorten the time; low temperatures extend it.

The technical values above are given for conditions of +23°C and 50% relative humidity.

RETENTION AND DESTRUCTION PERIODS FOR PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data will be stored for the retention periods specified in the relevant legislation or for as long as the processing purposes mentioned above require. At the end of this period, the data will be deleted, destroyed or anonymised in full compliance with the KVKK. In order to protect your personal data and to prevent unlawful access to it, our Company takes the necessary administrative and technical measures in line with the Personal Data Security Guide published by the Personal Data Protection Authority, draws up internal procedures, prepares disclosure and explicit consent texts and, pursuant to Article 12/3 of the KVKK, carries out, or has carried out through external services, the audits necessary to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the KVKK.
