Product Description
FOX CERA® FX110 is a cement-based tile and ceramic adhesive mortar composed of special cement, mineral fillers, and polymer additives. Thanks to its formulation suitable for all climatic conditions, it can be used in interior and exterior applications, both horizontally and vertically. Its reduced slip (T class) characteristic provides safe application on vertical surfaces. The product meets the TS EN 12004-1:2017/C1T standard and is classified as C1 (cement-based normal-setting adhesive). Available in Grey and White colour options, FOX CERA® FX110 is suitable for ceramic and tile covering materials with a maximum size of 33 cm × 33 cm and a water absorption rate above 3%.
Advantages
- Easy to prepare and apply.
- Has an ideal working time.
- Does not slip on vertical surfaces.
Usage Areas
- In interior and exterior applications, both vertical and horizontal
- On all types of concrete screed, plaster, screed, and cement-based surfaces
- For laying small and medium-sized ceramic and tile covering materials with a water absorption rate above 3%
- For covering materials with a maximum size of 33 cm × 33 cm
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
Cement-based surfaces to be treated must be sound, free from all dust and dirt, and level. Areas requiring repair must be repaired at least 1 day in advance using INNO-CRETE series repair mortars. If the surface temperature is above +25°C, the surface should be lightly dampened.
- 2
Mixing
The appropriate amount of water indicated on the packaging is poured into a clean mixing container. The FOX CERA® FX110 bag is opened and the powder is slowly added to the water while mixing with a drill mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 2–3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Care must be taken to ensure no lumps remain in the mix. The mortar is left to mature for 3–5 minutes, then mixed again for 1 minute before use. Mixing ratios: approximately 6.00±0.25 litres of water per 25 kg bag for FOX CERA® FX110 Grey; approximately 6.25±0.25 litres of water for White.

Application
Using the flat side of the trowel, a 1 mm thick layer of FOX CERA® FX110 is applied to the application surface. Within the open time of 20 minutes, the notched side of the trowel is used to comb the adhesive in one direction over an area that can be covered within that time, achieving a uniform thickness. When bonding ceramic or tile pieces of varying thickness, it is recommended to apply a 1 mm layer of FOX CERA® FX110 to the back of each piece. The tiles are floated into the adhesive mortar to ensure full contact.

Workability Test
To check the open time of the adhesive, press a finger onto the adhesive on the surface. If the adhesive transfers to the finger, application can continue. If it does not transfer, the open time has elapsed; the adhesive must be scraped off the surface and fresh adhesive must be applied.
- 5
Grouting
Application is completed by leaving the recommended joint spacing according to the appropriate ceramic and tile size. INNO-FIX series grout fillers must be used to fill the joints. Grouting can begin approximately 24 hours after installation.

Cleaning of Tools
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with water. Once FOX CERA® FX110 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.
If the ambient and surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must not be carried out; appropriate temperatures must be awaited.
Application must not be carried out in extremely hot, rainy, or very windy weather.
In outdoor applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, rain, wind, and frost for the first 24 hours.
If the open time of the adhesive (20 minutes) has elapsed, it must be scraped off the surface and fresh adhesive must be applied.
For the material to complete its curing, the substrate and ambient temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.
Working and reaction times of ceramic adhesive mortars are affected by air temperature, humidity, and substrate temperatures. High temperatures shorten the working time; low temperatures extend it.
The product must be stored in its original unopened packaging, in a dry and cool environment (between +5°C and +30°C), protected from sunlight and frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Opened packaging must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn during application. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, seek medical attention immediately.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. The product must be stored out of reach of children.
If the surface temperature is above +25°C, the surface should be lightly dampened before application.
Once FOX CERA® FX110 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.
The technical values above are given for conditions of +23°C and 50% relative humidity.
