FOX INJECTION EP FC420 is an epoxy-based, two-component, low-viscosity, solvent-free injection material developed for injection into concrete cracks. It is covered under Bayındırlık Poz No 04.613/8-d and complies with EN 1504-5. Thanks to its high chemical and mechanical resistance, it is reliably used for crack repair and structural strengthening in reinforced concrete, natural stone, and masonry structures. Its low viscosity allows penetration even into hairline cracks, providing high adhesion to concrete.

Surface Preparation
The plaster on the surface must be removed so that the entire crack plane can be identified. The concrete surface to be treated must be cleaned of dust, oil, and construction debris, and any damaged or loose concrete pieces must be removed. If there is water seepage on the surface, it must be drained or sealed with FOX PLUG FC340. Based on the width, depth, and ambient conditions of the crack, holes must be drilled at appropriate intervals (~20–25 cm) in a staggered pattern on both sides of the crack plane. These holes must be deep enough to pass through the crack plane to the other side and must be drilled at approximately 45° to the crack plane. The holes must be blown out with compressed air to remove dust and loose particles; packers must then be driven in and tightened to secure them. After all packers have been installed, the areas around the packers and over the crack must be coated with FOX EPOMORTAR FC510 to ensure sealing. Injection must not begin until at least 12 hours later, depending on ambient and weather conditions.

Mixing
Before starting to mix, ensure that the material temperature is between +15°C and +25°C. The entire Component B of FOX INJECTION EP FC420 must be poured into Component A, ensuring that no material remains in the Component B container. The mixture must be mixed with an electric mixer at approximately 300 rpm and a suitable mixing paddle for at least 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, taking care that no unmixed material remains at the edges and bottom of the container.

Application
The prepared FOX INJECTION EP FC420 mixture must be placed into the reservoir of a single-component injection pump and injection must begin from the lowest packer at a suitable pressure between 0 and 40 bar. When FOX INJECTION EP FC420 begins to emerge from the next packer up, it indicates that the air inside the crack has been displaced and replaced by the injection material. The injection hose must be removed from the current packer and attached to the next packer up, continuing in the same manner up to the topmost packer. When material emerges from the topmost packer, the crack plane is considered to be filled with injection material and the application is complete. At least 24 hours after application, packer tips may be cut for subsequent surface applications.
During application, ambient and surface temperature must not fall below +10°C or exceed +35°C.
The working and reaction times of resin-based systems are affected by ambient temperature, substrate temperature, and relative humidity. At low temperatures, the chemical reaction slows down; high temperatures accelerate the reaction, shortening the pot life.
For the material to complete its cure, the ambient and surface temperature must not fall below the permitted minimum temperature.
Solvents or similar thinners must not be added to the mixture during application.
Mixing must be carried out exclusively with suitable mechanical mixers. Hand mixing must not be performed.

Approaching storage and application areas with open flames is dangerous; areas must be ventilated.
During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. Contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.
When stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, between +5°C and +30°C, the shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Store in original unopened packaging in a cool, dry environment, protected from frost. For short-term storage, stack no more than 3 pallets high; for long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked.
