Product Description

FOX ECOFIX FC320 is a cement-based, polymer-reinforced repair and anchoring mortar containing special mineral fillers and binders. When mixed with water, it becomes workable within 3–5 minutes and completes full curing within 10–15 minutes. In addition to its ability to instantly stop water leaks, it can also be used as a waterproofing and repair mortar. Thanks to its high adhesion properties, it provides excellent bonding to many surfaces such as concrete, walls, and floors. It complies with TS EN 1504-3 standard class R2. Since it contains no chlorides, it does not damage reinforcement. It can be applied either as a dry powder directly or as a mortar mixed with water.

Key Benefits

  • With a working time of 3–5 minutes, it enables rapid response to sudden water leaks.
  • Since curing is completed in 10–15 minutes, waterproofing applications can follow shortly after repair.
  • As it can be applied as a dry powder or as a mortar mixed with water, it easily adapts to different site conditions.
  • Since it contains no chlorides, it contributes to protecting reinforced concrete steel from corrosion.
  • Compliance with TS EN 1504-3 class R2 meets the quality requirements of project specifications.
  • It offers a wide range of applications from door and window frame installation to anchoring applications.

Advantages

  • Ready to use.
  • Can be applied either as a dry powder or mixed with water to form a mortar.
  • Achieves high early strength.
  • Sets rapidly to stop flows and leaks.
  • Waterproofing material can be applied over it after 10–15 minutes.
  • Provides excellent adhesion to the applied surface.
  • Contains no chlorides; does not damage reinforcement.

Usage Areas

  • For interior and exterior applications, vertical and horizontal.
  • For stopping water leaks prior to waterproofing.
  • For installation of door and window frames.
  • For repair of defects in concrete.
  • For filling tie-rod holes in formwork.
  • For chamfering concrete edges and corners and for cold joint repairs.
  • For anchoring of non-critical load-bearing elements.

  • Elevator shafts.
  • Water tanks and reservoirs.
  • For sealing (plugging) voids with pressurised and non-pressurised water ingress.
  • In tunnels and underground structures.

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

The application surface must be sound, load-bearing, dust-free, and clean. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of all oils, grease, rust, tar, paint, and curing compounds that would reduce adhesion. Existing cracks and voids must be cut to a depth and width of 20 mm with vertical edges. Forming V-shaped voids must be avoided and sharp corner details must not be left.

  2. 2

    Mixing

Approximately 1 part water by volume should be added to 4.5 parts FOX ECOFIX FC320 by volume (approximately 160–180 ml water per 1 kg; approximately 1.12–1.26 lt water per 7 kg / 1 bag). For areas requiring deep and heavily deteriorated repairs, silica sand can be added at a ratio of 1/2. Place the amount you can consume within 3 minutes into a clean container and mix with sufficient water; do not mix for more than 30 seconds. Do not add any chemical or foreign substance to the mix. In cold weather, use lukewarm or warm water.

  3. 3

    Cold Joint Waterproofing Application

Open the cold joint to a minimum width and depth of 20 mm or until sound substrate is reached. Remove wire, wooden wedges, and similar materials from the surface. Then fill the opened joint appropriately with FOX ECOFIX FC320.

  4. 4

    Metal Anchor / Fastener Fixing

Using appropriate mechanical drilling tools on the reinforced concrete surface, drill an anchor hole larger than the diameter of the anchor element. Clean dust and weak materials from the hole and saturate the hole with water. Fill sufficiently with FOX ECOFIX FC320, insert the anchor element by rotating it along its vertical axis, and allow to cure.

  5. 5

    Tool Cleaning

Tools and equipment used must be cleaned with water immediately after application. Once FOX ECOFIX FC320 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface by mechanical means.

Critical

If the ambient or substrate temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C during FOX ECOFIX FC320 application, appropriate temperature conditions must be provided or application must be postponed.

Critical

FOX ECOFIX FC320 sets as a result of rising hydration heat. For this reason, it must be kept moist for 15 minutes after application. On dry and absorbent surfaces, this period should be 30 minutes.

Critical

Prepare only the amount of material you can consume within 3 minutes. Do not mix for more than 30 seconds. Do not add any chemical or foreign substance during mixing.

Important

In cold weather, to achieve workability of the material, it should be conditioned in a warm environment between +20°C and +25°C, and the mix should be prepared with warm water.

Information

High temperatures accelerate hydration and shorten the working time; low temperatures slow hydration and extend the working time.

Important

When stored at room temperature between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, the shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture. Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.

Important

Must be stored in its original unopened packaging, in a cool and dry environment, protected from frost. For short-term storage, a maximum of 3 pallets may be stacked; for long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked.

Critical

Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask must be worn during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.

Important

It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated. Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Must be stored out of reach of children.
