Product Description

FOX THERM-ALL® FIX FT383 is a polymer-modified, cement-based thermal insulation board adhesive composed of mineral fillers, synthetic additives, and special polymers. Its formulation, tailored to the structure of polystyrene materials, ensures strong adhesion to EPS and XPS boards. The product meets the TS 13566 standard and is used for bonding thermal insulation boards to reinforced concrete and plastered surfaces. It is available in Grey and White. The reaction-to-fire classification is A1 in accordance with TS EN 13501-1. The material can be applied at thicknesses of 3–10 mm and must be used at ambient and surface temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.

Advantages

  • Easy to prepare and apply.
  • Non-slip.
  • Excellent adhesion.
  • Long working time.
  • Rapid strength gain.
  • Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles.

Usage Areas

  • Used for bonding thermal insulation boards to reinforced concrete and plastered surfaces.

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Surface Preparation

Surfaces to be treated must be sound and free from all dust and dirt. Areas requiring repair must be repaired with INNO-CRETE series repair mortars at least 24 hours in advance. If the air temperature exceeds +25°C during application, the surface should be lightly dampened.

  2. 2

    Mixing

Pour the appropriate amount of water indicated on the packaging into a clean mixing container. Slowly add FOX THERM-ALL® FIX FT383 into the water while mixing with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 2–3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. No lumps should remain in the material. After maturing for 3–5 minutes, mix again for 1 minute to make it ready for application. Mixing ratios: approximately 6.00±0.25 litres of water per 25 kg bag for Grey; approximately 6.25±0.25 litres of water per 25 kg bag for White.

  3. 3

    Application

Apply the adhesive with a trowel in strip form along the edges of the bonding surfaces of the thermal insulation boards, and in a spot pattern in the centre. FOX THERM-ALL® FIX FT383 must be in contact with a minimum of 40% of the board. The boards are pressed and set in place until the desired level and evenness is achieved. After sufficient set has been reached, the boards are mechanically fastened to the surface with suitable dowels. On very smooth surfaces, application should be carried out using a notched trowel with 10 mm × 10 mm notches.

  4. 4

    Tool Cleaning

Tools and equipment used after application should be cleaned with water. Once FOX THERM-ALL® FIX FT383 has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

Critical

After FOX THERM-ALL® FIX FT383 has been applied to the façade, it must be mechanically fastened using suitable dowels for the surface.

Critical

If the ambient or surface temperature is below +5°C or above +30°C, application must not be carried out; wait until suitable temperatures are reached.

Critical

For outdoor applications, the surface must be protected from sunlight, rain, wind, and frost for the first 24 hours.

Important

While positioning the boards, the adhesive on the board surface must not be allowed to dry and form a film layer.

Important

FOX THERM-ALL® FIX FT383 must be in contact with a minimum of 40% of the board surface.

Important

Working and reaction times of cement-based repair mortars are affected by air temperature, humidity, and substrate temperature. High temperatures accelerate hydration; low temperatures slow it down.

Important

Surfaces to be treated must be sound and free from all dust and dirt. Areas requiring repair must be repaired with INNO-CRETE series repair mortars at least 24 hours in advance.

Important

The product must be stored in its original unopened packaging in a dry, cool environment (between +5°C and +30°C), protected from sunlight and frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Opened packaging must be consumed within 1 week.

Critical

Avoid contact with skin and eyes during storage and application. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Important

Wear work clothing, protective gloves, goggles, and a mask during application. Store out of reach of children.
