Product Description

FOX MIXPLUS FM201 is a normal-setting liquid waterproofing admixture for mortar and concrete. The product consists of an aqueous solution of surface-active agents with organic acids and complies with TS EN 934-3:2013. Added to render mortars and concrete, it significantly reduces water permeability and seals capillary cracks and pores. As it contains no chlorides, it does not harm reinforcement and has no adverse effect on the setting time or strength of the mortar.

Advantages

  • Ready to use.
  • Easy to apply.
  • Reduces water permeability in render mortars.
  • Seals capillary cracks and pores.
  • Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Economical.
  • Allows the mortar to breathe, preventing condensation.
  • Chloride-free, harmless to reinforcement.
  • Does not affect the setting time or strength of the mortar.

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Preparing the Product

Shake the product before use. Stir slowly before use to achieve a homogeneous consistency.

  2. 2

    Dilution

FOX MIXPLUS FM201 is diluted in measured clean mixing water. Under normal conditions the water-to-product ratio is 1:10, corresponding to approximately 3% of the binder weight. When very wet sand is used, this ratio should be increased to 1:8 or even 1:6.

  3. 3

    Addition to Mortar/Concrete Mix

The diluted mixture should be stirred slowly before adding to the mortar/concrete mixer (to keep it homogeneous and lump-free). Once properly mixed, it can be added to the mortar/concrete mix to achieve a uniform consistency.

  4. 4

    Trial Mix

Trial mixes must always be carried out to determine the exact dosage rates and water requirements per batch.

Important

Shake the product before use; it should be stirred slowly to achieve a homogeneous consistency.

Important

FOX MIXPLUS FM201 is diluted in measured water; the dilution should be carried out slowly before adding to the mortar/concrete mixer.

Critical

Trial mixes must always be carried out to determine the exact dosage rates and water requirements per batch.

Important

Store in the original unopened packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and protected from frost.

Important

If the product freezes, allow it to thaw at room temperature without applying direct heat, then mix mechanically until homogeneous. Do not use compressed air during mixing.

Critical

Approaching storage and application areas with open flame is dangerous; areas must be ventilated.

Important

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Critical

Avoid contact with skin and eyes; if contact occurs, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.

Information

The technical values above are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time; lower temperatures extend it.
