Product Description

FOX ADMENT PLUS FM133 is a melamine sulphonate-based superplasticiser concrete admixture that significantly reduces the water/cement ratio and enhances early high strength. It reduces the water content by at least 12% by weight compared to plain concrete, enabling the production of more compact and durable concrete structures. It is chloride-free and therefore poses no risk of reinforcement corrosion. It can be safely used in cold climate conditions, precast and prefabricated concrete production, heavily reinforced concrete elements, and zero-slump concrete applications.

Advantages

  • Reduces water content by at least 12% by weight compared to plain concrete.
  • Compared to plain concrete, provides a lower water/cement ratio at the same workability, or higher workability and easier pumpability at the same water/cement ratio.
  • Increases early and final strengths compared to plain concrete.
  • Increases the compressive and flexural strength of concrete compared to plain concrete.
  • Shortens formwork removal time compared to plain concrete.
  • Reduces segregation and bleeding, thereby increasing the abrasion resistance of concrete.
  • Increases the resistance of concrete to freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Improves other mechanical properties of concrete such as impermeability, durability, shrinkage and creep.
  • Settles with less vibration even in heavily reinforced concrete structures.
  • Chloride-free.

Usage Areas

  • In precast and prefabricated concrete production
  • In cold climate concrete pours
  • In the production of prestressed concrete with a low water/cement ratio
  • Where early formwork removal is required
  • In coloured precast concrete production
  • In rheoplastic concretes that can be easily placed in heavily reinforced concrete elements
  • In zero-slump concrete pours

Application Steps

  1. 1

    Mixing the Materials

The binder (such as cement, micro silica, fly ash, slag) and aggregate should be mixed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

  2. 2

    Adding the Admixture

After 50–70% of the mixing water has been added, FOX ADMENT PLUS FM133 should be added to the mix together with the remaining water.

  3. 3

    Homogeneous Distribution

FOX ADMENT PLUS FM133 should be mixed for preferably 1 minute, or for the duration determined by laboratory tests, to ensure homogeneous distribution within the mix.

  4. 4

    Dosage Determination

It is recommended to use 1.0–2.0 kg of FOX ADMENT PLUS FM133 per 100 kg of binder (such as cement, micro silica, fly ash, slag). The exact dosage must be determined in advance by laboratory tests according to the concrete class and properties.

Important

The product must be stored between +5°C and +30°C, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry environment. It must be protected from freezing.

Important

If the material stored in unsuitable conditions freezes, it should be allowed to thaw at room temperature without the use of direct heat, and then mixed mechanically until homogeneous. Compressed air must not be used during mixing.

Critical

After 50–70% of the mixing water has been added, FOX ADMENT PLUS FM133 should be added to the mix together with the remaining water. It should be mixed for preferably 1 minute, or for the duration determined by laboratory tests, to ensure homogeneous distribution within the mix.

Important

The dosage must be determined in advance by laboratory tests according to the concrete class and properties.

Critical

Approaching storage and application areas with open flame is dangerous. Storage and application areas must be ventilated.

Important

During application, appropriate work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Critical

During storage and application, contact with skin and eyes must be avoided; in case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water and soap; if swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Important

Food and beverages must not be brought into application areas. Store out of reach of children.

Information

For short-term storage, a first-in first-out dispatch system should be used. For long-term storage, pallets must not be stacked on top of each other.

Information

The values in the technical specifications are given for conditions of +23°C and 50% relative humidity. Higher temperatures shorten the time, lower temperatures extend it.
