Product Description
FOX PROHAND® İNCE is a ready-to-use, general-purpose fine hand plaster based on cement and lime, polymer-reinforced with special mineral fillers, suitable for use in interior and exterior applications including damp rooms. It meets the GP (general-purpose plaster mortar), CS IV (≥6 N/mm² compressive strength), W2 (low capillary water absorption) and A1 (non-combustible) classifications according to EN 998-1:2016. It can be applied in a single coat at a thickness of 3–10 mm on brick, blockwork, pumice block, concrete, fair-faced concrete, aerated concrete and ceiling surfaces. By combining the functions of base coat and finish coat in a single layer, it provides a labour and cost advantage. Full curing time is 28 days at +20°C.
Advantages
- Provides easy and fast application.
- Lighter to apply compared to traditional plasters.
- Water-repellent properties.
- Combines base coat and finish coat in a single-layer application.
- Provides cost advantage and ease of control.
- Thanks to its homogeneous structure, it provides high adhesion and strength at every point of the surface.
- Provides a smooth surface for the final coat covering.
Usage Areas
- Used for plastering brick, blockwork, pumice block, concrete, fair-faced concrete, aerated concrete and ceiling surfaces in interior and exterior applications.
- Suitable for use in interior spaces including damp rooms.
Application Steps
- 1
Surface Preparation
Surfaces to be plastered must be free from mould release agents, loose particles, dust and contaminants that would adversely affect adhesion. Cracks and holes on the surface must be repaired with suitable INNO-CRETE series repair mortars. In hot weather conditions, surfaces must be moistened with water. On aerated concrete walls, a spatter coat must be applied with FOX MORTAR FC188 T 72 hours before plastering. On smooth fair-faced concrete surfaces and concrete ceilings and walls, FOX CONTACT PRIMER® FL101 primer must be applied with a coral roller before application and left for 24 hours.
- 2
Mixing
The appropriate amount of water indicated on the packaging is placed into a clean mixing container. FOX PROHAND® İNCE is slowly added to the water while mixing with an electric mixer at 400–600 rpm for approximately 3–4 minutes until homogeneous. There must be no lumps in the material. The material is left to rest for 30 seconds and then mixed for a further 1 minute to make it ready for application.
- 3
Application
The application thickness must be between 3 mm and 10 mm in a single coat. The prepared mortar is applied with a plastering trowel or float. It is levelled with an aluminium screed. When the plaster has sufficiently hardened, the surface is smoothed with a devil float and the application is completed with a damp sponge.
- 4
Tool Cleaning
Tools and equipment used after application must be cleaned with water. Once FOX PROHAND® İNCE has hardened, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.
Plaster application must be carried out at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C. Application must not be performed outside this temperature range.
For the strength of the product, the surface must be wetted at regular intervals within 7 days after application.
No lime, cement, gypsum or similar materials must be added to the product.
On aerated concrete walls, a spatter coat must be applied with FOX MORTAR FC188 T repair mortar 72 hours before plastering.
On smooth fair-faced concrete surfaces, concrete ceilings and walls, FOX CONTACT PRIMER® FL101 primer must be applied with a coral roller before application and plastering must commence after 24 hours.
In windy conditions, the surface must be protected against rapid drying.
In hot weather applications, 2-coat application is recommended to prevent the risk of cracking caused by rapid drying.
The use of plaster mesh at column, beam and wall junctions is recommended.
In hot weather conditions, surfaces must be moistened with water.
The product must be stored in its original unopened packaging, in a dry and cool environment (between +5°C and +30°C), protected from sunlight and frost. Shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Opened packages must be resealed and consumed within 1 week.
Work clothing, protective gloves, goggles and a mask must be worn during application. Avoid contact with skin and eyes; in case of contact, wash thoroughly with plenty of water and soap. In case of ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.
It is dangerous to approach storage and application areas with open flames; areas must be ventilated.
Must be stored out of reach of children.
The above technical values are given for +23°C and 50% relative humidity conditions. Higher temperatures shorten the time, lower temperatures extend the time.
